METRIC SCREENS

We built an application for a customer that wanted to display production, sales, and delivery metrics on a large television screen in the cafeteria.

How it works

The program reads all the charts within an Excel spreadsheet. Those charts can be selected and displayed in a specific order and for a certain amount of time. The user selects an Excel worksheet and the program will display a list of the charts found within that worksheet. They can then determine how long to display the charts and add each chart to a list.

When the show large-screen button is checked, the program begins running and displaying the charts on a 46-inch television. Each chart is converted to a bitmap before it is displayed.

Conclusion

The program makes it much easier to inform employees of the productivity on the shop floor, as well as on-time delivery percentages, number of parts sold, number of assemblies produced, the employee count, and the growth of the company.
